My name is Marta Peiro and I’m a translator from English and German to Spanish and Catalan. I got a degree in Translation and Interpreting by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2012 and in 2014 I took the European Master in Audiovisual Translation, also in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with the optional module of Videogame Translation. During my career I had the chance to do my practice in Europa Press, where I translated news from Spanish to Catalan.
In addition, I studied abroad during a school year with the Erasmus scholarship, in the Universität Wien in Vienna (Austria), and during the school year 2012-2013 I lived in Klagenfurt (Austria), where I worked as a Spanish Language Assistant in the high schools Europagymnasium, Ingeborg Bachmann and Mössingerstrasse.
I have always had a real interest for languages and a lot of passion for translation, which brought me to start this career to be able to work professionally as a translator.[/three_fourth]
